Be Like Tommy Zen Morning

Hello friends!

I have been teaching at St Martin’s for two years this month and am so pleased with the community we have built. Last fall I asked a fellow yogi about the shirt she was wearing and a friendship formed. She told me about the Be Like Tommy Project and an upcoming Gala with a silent auction that she was working on. We talked for a few weeks and decided to offer a Zen Morning as an auction item. That was last November.

Six months later…

We all practiced patience and finally gathered together last weekend.

The weather was perfect, and everything came together without any worries. It was a lovely morning. We timed this event perfectly, making a Tommy weekend for a few of the ladies. A few Tommy volunteers gifted themselves a little Zen on Saturday, and volunteered at the Tommy walk Sunday morning (it was lovely). What a community this family is building!

“I want this to be my yard - a calm, beautiful space.”

Saturday morning

Early in the morning, the temperature was 68F and sunny. Looking at the photos, the Canada wildfires added a natural filter but thankfully we didn’t feel/see it while enjoying our time together.

A group of first timers to our home, I opted for a traditional menu. Serving nourishing food I know everyone loves.

  • Sourdough bread

  • Homemade Peanut Butter

  • Spicy Peach Butter

  • Avocado spread with Everything Spice

  • Raspberry Honey Yogurt Granola

  • Fresh fruit protein PB cups

I’m so blessed to be able to share my love of yoga, while bringing people together and offering good food and conversations. Upon leaving, one guest told me “my daughter just told me she didn’t know how easy it is to create food from scratch.” This fills my heart!
