Goat Yoga!

I remember driving to Bee Sage Farm last spring, to meet Erika, see the property and meet the goats. Being greeted by ducks and the sounds of chickens enjoying a sunny day. We walked the property, which includes a small fruit orchard, animals, acres for growing, a hundred-year-old barn, and a cove that is perfect for yoga.

Looking back, I visited the farm from April to late September. Visiting once a month offered me a new experience every time I stepped on the property. Experiencing a full season from seed to harvest while watching the goats grow up.

I will be teaching at the farm again in 2025. I know so much more about the farms rhythm and am excited to practice with this year’s baby goats. Talking with Erika last week, babies are expected in May, making June’s class playful and filled with curiosity.

2025 Goat Yoga Schedule (classes are at 10am, alternating between Saturday and Sunday):

  • June 21, Saturday

  • July 13, Sunday

  • Aug 16, Saturday

  • Sep 21, Sunday

What to expect?

  • The goats roam an enclosed area, grazing and visiting you on the mat. They sniff and may give you a love nibble.

  • What to bring? A mat, towel and water.

  • Don’t worry if you forget sunscreen, we will have some for you.

  • There will also be mat cleaner and towels available to wash your mat after class.

  • Expect to laugh as the goats visit you in downdog!

  • And plan to stay after class, to feed the goats, take photos, and enjoy farm life.

I hope you can join me a few times over the summer, to see how the farm changes from early summer to harvest season.
