2024 Yoga Review

Hello friends!

When I look back on 2024, it’s filled with wonderful memories of our son getting married, a health scare that shifted our lives, and several small happy moments… including wonderful yoga inspired memories.

Last year I had plans to bring the blog back, with updates “on and off” the mat. Ten months post health scare, I’m finally finding some inner peace with our new life and hope to revive the blog again.

So… here we go! I’m so blessed to share my practice with you.

St Martin’s by the Lake: Last year we made the decision to shift from evening yoga to morning yoga (Mon/Weds). And, when the weather was warm enough, we were blessed to practice outside.

Raising over $5.5K last year. Adding to the $1300 raised in 2023, for a total close to $6.8K in 18 months.

Zen Morning: Offered just once last year, in the spring. Opening up my home to a semi-private morning with yoga and “farm to table” nourishment while enjoying the sun rising over the lake. I’m pleased to share that after so much interest, Zen Morning will be offered twice this year.

Goat Yoga at Bee Sage Farm: This partnership fell in my lap after a friend needed to change her summer plans. In July, I several of my family and friends were in town and got to experience goat yoga. After yoga, Erika invited everyone to pick raspberries. It was a lovely morning.

Bee Sage Farm added a small farmer’s market to the morning in September. I sold granola, sourdough, and homemade peanut butter. This was a new experience and one I never thought I would try. Let’s just say, I have a new appreciation for makers!

Last week Erika and I finalized the 2025 season. I’m pleased to share that I will be teaching kids yoga throughout the summer, along with a monthly weekend class. Details will be shared soon.

Gillespie Center: Last October I started teaching Chair Yoga. Volunteering my time to this nonprofit, with all funds raised staying in the organization. While this class is in the beginning phase of building a community, the ladies that attend are wonderful. Just last week one of the ladies told me that her range of motion gain has been surprising. Her daily life has improved in ways she didn’t expect.

Be Like Tommy Project: In November I donated a Zen Morning experience as a silent auction item, raising money for a nonprofit supporting our local community. This event is planned for late May.

I taught over 130 classes, partnering with four organizations, pop up outdoor evening classes, and hosted a Zen Morning in 2024. This offered me a year full of movement, with time to practice at Honest Yoga several times a week. I have some wonderful plans for 2025. It’s a year full travel and a shift back to running/hiking. I promise to share more after my registration is accepted.

With love and gratitude, Mari

Note: choosing to be present and limiting time in front of a laptop, please know I am online daily. Feel free to reach out anytime. I love connecting with you!
